Care at home / Help with mobility
When it helps
Help with moving around safely.
When getting up, getting dressed, or getting out the door takes more effort, an extra pair of hands keeps home possible.
Solura Home Care provides non-medical help with mobility at home, including help getting in and out of bed or a chair, bathing and dressing, using a walker safely, and rides to appointments.
You are not alone
Arthritis, a stroke, Parkinson's, or simply years of wear can make ordinary movements harder: rising from a chair, stepping into the tub, getting down the front steps. Many people quietly stop doing the things that feel risky, and the world gets smaller.
What tends to help
- Ask about therapy. A physical or occupational therapist can recommend exercises, equipment, and safer ways to move.
- Make the home easier to use. A raised toilet seat, a shower chair, good lighting, and clear paths go a long way.
- Use the walker or cane every time. Equipment only helps when it is used, and a reminder at the right moment matters.
- Plan the outings. Getting out the door is worth the effort. It just takes a plan and a steady arm.
How Solura helps
Our caregivers help with transfers, bathing, dressing, and moving around the house, following any guidance from your loved one's therapist. They keep the walker within reach, help on the stairs, and make outings possible. Our rides include help from the front door to the car and into the appointment.
Services that often help: personal care.
