Accessibility statement

Last reviewed October 20, 2026

We want every family to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, magnification, a keyboard, or voice control.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we check the site for accessibility as we update it.

What we have built in

  • Large, readable text with strong contrast between text and background.
  • Every page works with a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are.
  • Menus, buttons, and form fields have clear labels, and form errors are explained in words.
  • Photos and maps have text descriptions.
  • Pages respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device. Gentle animations switch off when it is on, and text is never hidden behind an animation.
  • The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and zoomed-in screens.
  • Guides we publish as PDFs appear on the page with a plain-text version for screen readers, and you can download a printable copy.

Known limitations

  • Some PDF guides may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If one is hard to use, we will read it to you or send it in another format.
  • Websites we link to are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
