Local care

Care that knows Kirtland.

Solura Home Care provides non-medical in-home care and rides to appointments in Kirtland, Ohio, with the same caregiver at every visit.

Kirtland calls itself the City of Faith and Beauty. More than a fifth of its land is forest preserve or park, and the city is home to the historic Kirtland Temple, Lakeland Community College, and part of Holden Arboretum. Nearly one in four residents is 65 or older.

It is a beautiful place to stay, and a spread-out one. We bring a familiar caregiver to the house and handle the rides to UH Lake West, TriPoint, and the Kirtland Senior Center.

Local questions

What Kirtland families ask.

Can you drive my parent to the Kirtland Senior Center?
Yes. We can drive them to the senior center on Euclid-Chardon Road and back, and help at home before or after, so the week has both company and support.
Can you help after a stay at UH TriPoint or Lake West?
Yes. Care can start with more hours in the first weeks home, helping with meals, bathing, and moving around safely, then taper as strength returns. We do not provide medical care, but we work alongside the nurses and therapists your family already has.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Care starts at 5 hours a week, so a few visits for meals, bathing, or errands is a perfectly good place to begin, and the plan can grow from there.
