Local care

Care that knows Independence.

Solura Home Care provides non-medical in-home care and rides to appointments in Independence, Ohio, with the same caregiver at every visit.

Independence began as farm settlements and grew into a residential city in the 1970s, with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park along its eastern edge. More than one in five residents is 65 or older.

The city runs its own senior services, from transportation to Meals on Wheels, and we add what families often need on top: a familiar caregiver at home for personal care and meals, and a companion for the drive to UH Parma or Marymount.

What we offer in Independence

Local questions

What Independence families ask.

Independence already offers senior transportation. Why use yours?
The city's service is a real help. Our rides add a caregiver who stays with your parent through the visit and helps them settle back in at home. The two work well together.
Can you help after a stay at UH Parma?
Yes. Care can start with more hours in the first weeks home, helping with meals, bathing, and moving around safely, then taper as strength returns. We do not provide medical care, but we work alongside the nurses and therapists your family already has.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Care starts at 5 hours a week, so a few visits for meals, bathing, or errands is a perfectly good place to begin, and the plan can grow from there.
